On March 29 evening, the online course of Project Management offered by the Honors College kicked off. The course was lectured by Erik Kuiper, Menno Mandemaker, Lennert Nuhn and Marice Bastiansen, who are from Evans University in Netherlands. A total of 50 students divided into 10 groups have participated in the course.
Before the course began, Erik Kuiper and Menno Mandemaker introduced the Netherlands and Evans University. The first course is focused on brainstorming. The two professors guided students to understand the basic concepts of project, and got each group to get engaged in brainstorming in a group cooperation way and complete the group contract. During the course, the students and professors had the good interactions. Questions and answers were all inspiring. Based on in-depth discussions and consensus made by each group, the work of the first day was completed successfully by each of the groups eventually.
This course will be held continually from the 5th week to the 12th week of this semester. This week, with the help of professors, students will accomplish a detailed project plan, implement the project in the following weeks accordingly, and make the final report by the end of the course.
